Because we all know if we hate something that's popular it means that we must be bandwagoning.

No there are just stupid stuffs who have never actually played some of the games but still hate it. Like 50% of the hate.

That's where the Activision/Infinity Ward fanboys come in. They buy anything CoD as an excuse to sit in their couch all day trying to do trickshots and other bullstuff.

The games aren't bad alone, the problem in my eyes is that they are just repackaging the same game over and over with little differences in them.

I have a few COD games but there's no way I'm going to buy yet another just because it looks slightly different, I'll just wait until the community on that one dies out.

Can I now stress
why I want a new WWI/WWII era Call of Duty game

Things I don't like about the game

  • How every gun is really just a reskin of one another with slight variations that don't really let you feel you are using different weapons
  • The community
  • The constant whining of others
  • It's dull colorscheme
  • It just all around bores me
  • How every single game is just recycled with not distinct differences

I do play it when I have nothing better to do though.

I haven't played many CoD games (only 3, MW2, and BlOps I and II during the free to play weekend), and I originally hated the future games after MW2 for what you stated. When I played BlOpsII I realized the games are still fun. I like just being able to play against other people and stuff. The new games I guess are just repackaging but I like being able to toy with new guns, locales, abilities, and features and such.

I would play it and CoD 4 but...

community got in the way.

Kind of funny that the new COD was shown today

Single-player is still awesome as ever

I noticed that basically every CoD game after MW2 was pretty stuffty, Black ops 1 maybe being an exception for the zombies and campaign.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. People have loved, are loving, and will continue to love CoD because it always has that fast paced action arcade style multiplayer.

I enjoyed Black Ops 1.

gonna admit from posts on page one, minecraft's pretty fun. easier for building.

True. CoD has the best ratio for time fighting / time running around. It's fast paced and it's not particularly hard to kill something. If I have to do a quick game of something, I'd choose 2 games of CoD which includes me fighting continuously than a game of Battlefield 3, fighting for 10 seconds while I get to the map in 1 minute. Even if I do like Battlefield 3 more because of the different game style.
Though a good middle-point that I am also very satisfied with lately is Blacklight: Retribution. also Warface is also going to be very pleasant in this theme once it comes out, the beta at least was great.
