I am posting this topic because we have had many "bring the maps back" and "v21 sucks" topics.
Well, let's begin.
Maps are not coming back because doing so with shaders would be uncompatible with the maps, which would most likely cause the game to crash.
"But can't he just code it so that it's compatible"
He could, but this version of torque is rrrrrealy outdated.
"Then lets get a new torque version"
If we do this, blockland would have so much down-time for maintenance tons of users would leave, because you dont simply get a new version. It would take a lot of time to get all of the features of blockland into the new torque engine, and all of the add-ons would probably need to be recoded, which is not likely for the majority of add-on makers.
"Lets ditch Torque then"
You cant just ditch Torque. Again, like I said in the previous paragraph:
