Looking for good gaming laptop under $1,000

I've got an i5 and a gtx 780. I 100% stand by what I said. You are not going to get a good gaming laptop for under 1k. You can have a mediocre one, sure, but he specifically asks for a GOOD gaming laptop. Anything that is note-worthy is over 1k.

but im sure by good he means an average laptop with a decent capability of gaming. specifically for blockland, which sli gt 650m can handle very well. he didn't mean a super ultra gaming laptop

I have this and it's loving amazing. Runs Far Cry 3 at 30FPS on ultra.
Shame it's discontinued.

Then he should say he wants a generic laptop for under 1k. My 9 year old macbook could run blockland and some editing software easily.

How about you guys stop stuffting on me and read the thread before you make yourselves sound like idiots. First off, I need a laptop because I travel often. I would like to use it at work and go on my three vacations this summer and fall with it. I don't want a desktop. Second off, I clearly stated I needed a good laptop that can run games such as blockland smoothly, and also run and load videos smoothly. I never said I needed some super awesome gaming laptop that runs games with crazy graphics. I just need help finding a good low end gaming laptop that I can play blockland and run videos smoothly on for under $1000. Please stop arguing over it. I stated what I needed help finding so help me out.

Also, thanks to those who actually helped me. I will consider every option.

You're a loving idiot. He's not a moron; you're not going to get the greatest gaming laptop in the world for less than $1000, but all he asked for was video editing and blockland. That's not at all intensive, and there's no way you would mistake what he was saying for "i want a god computer, capable of simulating the universe in real time". i'm pretty sure you're just being an elitist prick.

For all you'd care, a decent computer to you could mean a 1980s Apple III computer. Many people also refer to decent frame rate and actually mean 20 FPS average when you can bloody almost not play it like that.

You specified a laptop, for which there's far less interchangeable parts than a standard PC? You specified gaming hardware? Okay first of all, define games, because you could mean Facebook games for all I'd care. (and for the record I don't believe those count but w/e..)

Oh and god help you if you want to play something like Minecraft on high mod settings such as OptiFine Ultra, which you're going to struggle getting a full 60FPS with EVERYTHING on that mod maxed out. (ie, viewing distance, Load Far, Extreme +2048, etc) Even with something like a 690.
