But you're implying I haven't. About 20 different schools have been contacting me over the past year and a half or so. I chose DeVry, mostly because of the location. I'm not currently able to go to an out-of-state school, and DeVry was the best choice for my location.

Yeah, when you are about to graduate you'll get like a thousand letters from colleges. That doesn't mean you'll get a scholarship or even get in. I really doubt you got a 1550 on just math and reading and you only chose DeVry. That might be the worst decision you will ever make in your life if that was true.

If you were looking at a state school they would of been throwing money at you the second you started talking to them.

Well, if everyone here is right and DeVry does prove to have a bad education system, I was planning on attending Full Sail University after I get my associates in Computer Information Systems and move on to game design. I'm completely dedicated to becoming a game designer, and there's really nothing else I would want to do. I want to have the experience and education of general programming before I move on to bigger things.

i dont contribute anything to your happiness?!

Full Sail University
being a freshman there's really no point to me looking into it right now, but Full Sail was the first place i considered as a possibility with all my teenage dreams of some day programming something significant
so if you find it's a really cool place, tell me whatever you can about it.

Is this real life Funday...

Some people are so stupid. Dude DeVry sucks, go to a state university its cheaper and youll get a much better education. Also a 1550 on your SATs isnt as good as youre making it out to be - I got a 1730 and that was mediocre.
but you are talking about all three categories

On my PSAT I got an 1100 for two and a 1700 for three

Omg frankie of course you do! <3

Wrong. Start getting interested in colleges, do some research.
By the time you graduate I'l let you know more about it, since I'll see if I can get a tour of the campus then.

So is he though

Full Sail is pretty much exactly the same as DeVry. It's the best to stay away from for profit schools. There is absolutely no benefit to going to one instead of a 4 year university or a community college if it offers the degree you want.

I wish I was going to high school :(

what are the different types of colleges, exactly? you're mentioning profit schools as the worst kind, so what's the best kind?

one problem about even trying for Full Sail is it's across the country from where i live
the other one that caught my attention at one point was Cogswell, a college in sunnyvale ca, about 30 minutes from where i live.

what kind of college is this?

A for profit school is normally stuff because it's for profit. Any other type of school is better. Though community colleges and 2 year types schools only offer associates degrees or pre-recs.

Then there's a normal 4 year school that offers bachelor degrees. There better mostly because they have more money. The difference between 4 year schools are there are private and public. A private one gets all of it's money from tuition and alumni. A public college get's it from tuition, alumni, and the state.

Getting a bachelor degree at a university or college is exactly the same pretty much. A university is different because it has a grad school, which is for masters or any other fancy degree like that.

Overall schools like DeVry, Pheonix, and Full Sail are really stuffty. They don't have the best programs and they normally cost more than a community college or a public university. There is absolutely no benefit going to one instead of a similar program at a community college or normal college/university.
