Author Topic: I loving hate youtube.  (Read 3009 times)

Occasionally YouTube has research. I remember a few times they tried to reopen adult content that had been taken down under some attempt at adult-only sectioning, which kept failing. Very quiet about it, too, but I remember some videos popping up which were adult and had special like "adult-only" markings. Apparently they had been blocked for being adult, but had come up again on an attempt for adult sections.
YouTube having research is not a huge problem because it's usually lurking in the deep depths of youTube which are barely ventured into. Like, "Man Has love With Big Mac" was one of the greats, and it wasn't at all researchographic except for love noises, and big macs, but it was removed anyways. Generally, though, Youtube has a low amount of research. The videos that are ranked as Adult-Only are usually just drug videos or the like, because they're considered to have high adult content, and sometimes the video makers restrict the video for their own good. It's just a matter of what the uploader has uploaded, but generally things that are highly researchographic or adult in content are instantly removed or deleted by YouTube's bot.

To explain better, at some point adult content started popping up, and I am sure one of them was previously not visible because it was blocked for being outright research. But it was visible, and it had some special adult-only marking on it. Of course it all went back down because they couldn't figure a real way to allow it and it wasn't worth their time for smut.

Don't do that bro, you'll die of smoke inhalation.

I watch stufftons of YouTube videos and have zero problems, sooo I guess problems on your guys' ends.

Youtube now is better than ever.

The channels are easy to read now, videos don't buffer all the damn time(even when you have a fast connection years ago it did this)

No mismatched colors on a page, and the best thing is probably the sidebar.

Oh no, whatever shall I do? How will I know if this channel page is the one I want without the blaring colored background screaming it at me? If only there was some way we could communicate these important distinctions, perhaps through an arranged lettering system of sorts!

every channel looks exactly the loving same. of course you guys don't care since all you do is watch videos but the people who make the videos enjoy more than a loving banner at the top of their page -_-

I will say I find the new layout more difficult to navigate, although I'd admit I'm not used to it. Still, the new layout being more centralized around sectioning and organizing front page sections with specific videos? In most cases, the videos that will end up there are either the most special or most popular videos they have, which isn't necessarily what you'd really want to see, especially if this counts as advertising to new users checking out your channel. They want to see the average video so they know the user instead of what came out biggest and best.

But I guess all the old features are still buried in there on individual pages, so you can overlook the wall of videos you don't care about and try another tab. I suppose the problem I have with the new layout is it just doesn't seem necessary and the reasons for it don't seem applicable to a majority of YouTubers who end up being relatively small-time compared to the bigger YouTubers who'd give this any legitimate use if any.

I rather be able to read whats on the channel then be eye rapped by a repeated Background or unfitting eyebleeding colors.
