Author Topic: Which graphics card is the best for M:LL  (Read 2437 times)

Metro: Last Light overheats my GPU and forgets it up the ass like there's no tomorrow (AMD Radeon HD 7800), and it's the first time my computer ever overheated and shut down.

I was wondering about what would be the best gpu/graphics card for the game, on amazon/newegg?
There's a bit of them, and I don't really know how to compare it.

That's the search for what I was looking for (nvidia titan), but I don't know which one would work best, if you guys could help me here to pick one that'd be great.

29-46 fps (thats pretty good btw) also, what is your CPU.

Radeon HD 7790
I was actually looking for a nvidia/gtx gpu like the titan, because AMD is rather buggy with metro last light

How many watts is your PSU? Your GPU as well as your other components might not be getting enough power. (Unless of course your gpu is integrated. Then I would recommend getting a dedicated card.)

Get the GTX 780 before you get the TITAN. When you overclock the 780, you get almost the exact same fps as a TITAN. It is also 400 dollars cheaper.

are you seriously willing to spend 1k for a video card?

How about dusting out your computer or removing other airflow obstructions before spending $1k?

I wasn't going to spend 1k, I just wanna know which would be great for the game, and look into some cheaper ones.

that is hardly a playable framerate lol

that is hardly a playable framerate lol

not really if you don't have 700 bucks to spend on a cpu/gpu/psu

20-30FPS is generally what's considered the "playable" fps.

Yes it is. Anything over 30 is "extra" headroom for whatever you need. Your eyes won't notice anything above 30.

Don't know a lot about computers but every game I have runs beautifully on my Radeon 7870 GHz

I've got a 7850 and I can run pretty much everything maxed out as well (Cyris 3 is the exception, but I was playing it during the beta and people said it was horribly optimized).
