It looks kinda fun, Mr. Bitchy F. Base.

The modern sonic's formula from generations had it nailed down so well. Hopefully this comes out good but I was expecting another one with the modern sonic formula.

You forgot the occasional Sonic '06

You forgot the occasional Sonic '06

I though '06 was the only game that bad.

the past two games have been better (colors and generations, not counting any racing/weird games)

this looks pretty fun

i get the feeling it'll be like super paper mario or something, where people will whine because it's not like past games when the game itself is pretty good

though i'd still like to see more 3D sonic games that work like the sonic adventure series

imo sonic should have their own spin off series of the classic sonic from generations and just call it sonic 5.

This looks better than the stuff they've been pumping out recently.

It feels very much like Super Mario Galaxy with the rounded and spherical surfaces
I thought this was a good way to design the game. It looks more fast-paced than other games put to a level in which you can follow what's going on. The way everything is abstract though is a bit odd, but its a NEW PLANET er somethin

But in retrospective Sonic's speed gimmick does terribly due to the fact that you can't really design a memorable or good level if simple obstacles like a wall really hinders the feeling of going fast. I always enjoyed the first levels of any Sonic game because they didn't really require much thought and planning on jumps and that fits well with Sonic. But for example in Chemical Plant Zone, maybe my favorite level of the games, where you have a small moving platform over a death pit of chemicals in which you have to jump perfectly onto it with a bouncy-ass sliding dude really isn't fun as opposed to frustrating.  I guess in terms of memorable, City Escape from SA2, but does anyone have Green Hill Zone memorized? I can remember the heck outta the first Mario level because you have time to look at the surroundings and remember it.

gee uh

Yeah, but I did hear the racing games got okay reception or something? idk maybe its just cuz of the tf2 character inclusion

I like everything about this new game except the boss guys. Sonic traditionally is row-bits vs woodland creatures, and sonic must save said creatures from row-bits. maybe this change of enemy could be a good thing, however
