I can't say that I have any special strategies for tackling The Ladder but I
can assure you that if you keep your focus and remain steadfast you shall
come out the victor.

First you will need to engage The Ladder in your epic struggle by walking up
to it and pressing the Action button.  Once you have done that the only way is
up. There_is_no_turning_back.  Continue on upwards once you have engaged The
Ladder.  It will slowly begin to weaken in power and the end will gradually
come into sight.

Alas!  Halfway through The Ladder decides to take you out for a spin. I'm sure
that you will be nonplussed when the song starts to play but you cannot stop!
Doing so will only slow down your progress and ultimately lead to a longer
battle.

When you have finally passed The Ladder you may think that you are done. Think
again!  The Ladder has a unique form of mind-control in that he can make you
want to jump all the way back down and try again.  Do NOT do this!  I must
warn you that if you try to fall to the bottom and take another swing at The
Ladder you will die.  Consider this your warning.

Want to use your camouflage, face paint, or weapons?  I'm sure you would love
to but you cannot, you are not allowed to.  You'll have to tackle the great
beast with nothing but your bare hands.
