I think a good story of what happened in Blockland is that a brick toy company got lots of complaints from lazy kids who don't like having to move their arms to build. So they decided to make minifigures with learning AI that could learn to build stuff on their own. They called these "Blockheads." Then a hacker messed with them and they learned to make all kinds of weapons. When the hacked Blockheads became self aware and spread their intelligence to other Blockheads, they started killing people and then lots of buildings got covered with bricks and all the humans either:
a. Went into space
b. Went to a remote island
