Enlisting as an office makes no sense. You commission. There are other ways though.

I think they're wheeled so they have more mobility, but yes tracked vehicles are superior. Stryker are supposed to be weaker than an MBT, they're meant as a fast APC, and the MGS basically has the same armament as the original M1 Abrams. There's also Mortar Carrier Strykers and ATGM Strykers.

LAV's are wheeled too.
