Three year's apart can be used as a defense in a trial.
Only in Texas because of the Romeo & Juliet laws.
I like the Romeo & Juliet laws (besides the fact that they don't apply to homoloveual couples) and I'd like to see them implemented by lawmakers in all the US states. However, a lawmaker in Florida is trying to change statutory rape laws in the wake of this massive poll, and I think it will be a good thing if they can change it to resemble the Romeo & Juliet laws in Texas.
That still leaves 21 states where an age difference of less than 2 but greater than 1 is illegal.
Then it should be changed. However, it's the responsibility of the citizens to understand those laws and they shouldn't be able to plea ignorance or moral injustice if they violate those laws as an adult.
He means like it should say "Its legal to have love with someone atleast X amount of years younger or older than a specific age"
What?
