I don't think there is any reason to carry around a Combat knife. You could also use scissors, or a penknife to do this, or you know, unclip the leash.

The guy inside the elevator is a loving handicap. There is a "stop" button in the elevator. All he/she was doing was just watching. If the other guy hadn't been there the dog would have died/gotten injured.
