Author Topic: Anyone good with laws? A teacher in my school wont allow water bottles!  (Read 2241 times)

So, this one teacher in my school wont allow water bottles, and sometimes she doesn't let us get water from the fountain.
Is there a law against this?
All the other teachers allow them, just not her. And sometimes she doesn't let us even go to the bathroom.

its illegal to pop balloons during a solar eclipse

were your classmates taking advantage of it?

Probably not illegal if it is just one teacher. Although, if any problems arose you could probably sue. Like if someone screwed up their kidneys because they couldn't pee.

No law broken here. They have  every right to keep you in the classroom.
My old school wouldn't allow anyone outside the classroom due to the constant shootings.

My current school has a 15-15 rule. (Can't leave class first 15 minutes or last 15 minutes)

Also is it a law to not allow bathroom use?

They don't have to let you go unless its a emergency. Like a "holy stuff I'm about to piss my pants" emergency. Actually at that point I think you're aloud to walk right out if its that bad.

Also is it a law to not allow bathroom use?

It really depends on the school

But it really should be.

kids probably kept using the "can i get water" or "can i go to the bathroom" excuse to get out of class
i knew a girl in 3rd grade who did that all the time and when the teacher said no the girl would fake crying
she eventually got expelled though

Ideally you'd be allowed to leave class to use the bathroom/get a drink whenever you need, but realistically kids would take advantage of it to just leave class whenever.
When you get to college people take education more seriously; they (generally) don't want to skip because they're paying to be there.

It's elementary school, just let the kids go, who cares if they skipped five minutes of learning multiplication tables or writing in cursive.

In Kentucky its illegal to dye ducklings blue, And in Montana, you can only ride a horse naked if it's your birthday.

if you have to use the bathroom, and you really have to go right now, forget the teacher and just leave. most likely your principal will get rid of whatever punishment you may get for it, and possibly tell her she can't keep kids in there if they gotta pee, if you bring it up to him
assuming you have a good principal

They probably didn't want the kid getting into a habit of using excuses to get out of work, because then she'd be a little stuff in high school.
