Spongebob had exellent writing when it started.
I never remember anyone so much as posting about it.
Never so much as a topic.

No other shows, for adult or kid, get even ONE PERCENT of the attention and posts as does MLP.
There's something missing here. Probably the "lets spread our stuff as wide as possible to piss off people" aspect.

I don't understand it either, but that doesn't mean I see a need to hate it.

Because it's a cancerous group of people who really just want to piss people off by spamming their forums with stupid stuff and recruiting as many others to help their cause as possible?

I'm pretty sure a substantial amount of that thread is arguing between the participants and people coming it just to attack it.

Doubtful, even I haven't posted in there.
I'd think most nonbronies just stay the forget away, or make one post, see it won't change anything, and leave.
It's mostly just filler/spam designed to make the topic grow and always on the first page of offtopic.

I think I've heard from many people, bronies and non-bronies, that that is what happened in a large amount of the beginning of the thread.
Sure, most people left, but there were people like Lord Tony who couldn't stay away.
