Author Topic: Any desktop arranging software?  (Read 1153 times)

I have alot of stuff on my computer and im running out of space for the desktop to have stuff on it, so is there any programs that could help me save space so i don't have to delete things / move them into folders?

You can use this for programs rather than having shortcuts:

you keep an icon on the desktop for everything you have installed?

i only keep the ones i use like a ton.
as far as games go, if im not currently playing it, or plan to soon, i uninstall them.

computers are not for collecting things. software dosnt work that way.

I was watching azuritereaction stream once, and as he was going about his computer, he noticed he was losing space and mentioned the name "SpaceMonger." I decided to look it up, and it is actually a really nice program. It hasn't been updated in a while, but it works fine with my Windows 7 64-bit computer. It shows files by location, size, etc. Accumulations in certain folders. It is very useful.

Edit: Well the way he wrote that confused me. Desktop seemed obvious for the main desktop, but he was talking about moving things and space so I was like "Wait, does he mean storage space?" I stand by this post though - You could use it to locate bad programs you don't want anymore and uninstall them, which might also clear up the desktop. :P

I don't put anything on my desktop
I rarely see it anyway
the only reason I even have a wallpaper is so that I'll know what color to pick for the taskbar and stuff

this is how i see it, and as for the stuff I do keep on my desktop that i frequently use a lot, I just bought fences. Some people can deal with icons just listed in a row or have a free dock or whatever, but I'd much rather have fences (and especially desktop pages like a smartphone which is included)

this is what people say when they don't have 3TB of space.

organize it yourself, it is pretty easy.

been using it since i got my computer and it has worked.

I just have these two little folders up here.

Stuff I never use again goes in nothing and everything is arranged with more folders for the important stuff
