Author Topic: Why do people discriminate so much about races and gays?  (Read 4376 times)

Too many white hipsters with a very distant Cherokee ancestor that calling themselves Native Americans.

i'm very okay with other races and gays but if you're going to be an starfish about it then i'll hate you.

take for example, there are two gay guys in my school.  one keeps making conversations awkward by talking about gay things openly as if a bunch of straight guys want to hear it, the other one doesn't.  hell i didn't even know the other one gay guy was actually gay until like a few months ago.

Racism and other bigotry is unneeded, I believe that people should stop hating and actually realize that everyone is actually human.
Throughout my Freshman and most of the Sophomore year I had to poker face my way through so the bible thumpers didn't blow my brains out.

I can honestly say I'm 100% against homoloveuality. I don't discriminate against other races though. (Only when my black friends down the road kick my ass in basketball.)

bonus points if you liked woody harrelson

It just bothers me when individuals bother me.

I can't say much about racism because I don't really see it as much.
But discrimination against gays comes almost entirely from religion

On Topic: basically if people realize that they aren't better than everyone (blacks, whites, etc. included) then things will be resolved, racially and ethically

Since we are on the topic on why people are discriminated, why are many forums upset about religions? Not all of them try to choke you with it. If I recall correctly, only mormons do so, but only in a very polite way. For example, they will come to your door once every year or so, depending, and ask if you would like to join. I do not see an issue.

Also edit: Yes, I also do understand some people do try to assault you to convert, but only ignorant and rude people typically. But why is it stereotyped to all people of any religion?

I've noticed a shift in the youth where more atheists are starting to come out. Some of home who violent and more militant. I worry about what the next generation atheists looks like.

I'm a gay atheist in the south.

In order to bring peace or neutrality you have to let people see the error of their ways. Trying to force peace only brings more conflict.
I certainly agree with this.

Also, I never discriminate black people or other races, although I mostly like to be tribal to white people and call them "white-o's".

lol @ tribal white people

Racism is the IRRATIONAL belief that races are INFERIOR for the sole reason that they belong to a RACIAL GROUP.

1. None of what I say is irrational and can be observed in any largely black community.
2. I do not believe the black race is inferior; they can be just as intelligent as any white or asian, barring predetermined mental issues. However, the developed culture of "thug life" holds back their entire race, at least here in the U.S.
3. As I said above, it's not their race, it's the thug life culture.

I can honestly say I'm 100% against homoloveuality.
Can I ask why?
