I think you're using the term of "independent" fairly incorrectly. A lab doesn't "depend" on you for security. A lab is loyal and a family dog, so it will protect them. And to the Huskies credit, they are very loyal dogs too. An independent dog means they won't bother you and come up to you for every menial task. If the dog needs to use the bathroom, it will go where it was trained to use the bathroom. It won't come up to you to baby it to the bathroom. Just because it's independent doesn't mean it's indifferent. Huskies are loyal dogs.
A lab does depend on you for security. A lab would happily go off with anyone and I've seen it happen plenty of times at vets. As for the husky, a husky will need your help until it can go off on its own much like any wild animal. I never said that huskies weren't loyal dogs.

Except huskies aren't wild. They're domesticated like any other house dog.

3d eyes are fun to shoot, letting you shoot at an interesting angle but still have them looking at you

They aren't as domesticated as any other house dog. There are things a husky won't do that a house dog would and vice versa.
Not entirely wild nor are they entirely domesticated but this discussion depends per-dog as some can be more domesticated than others.

I wish the US had places like that, except for cooler stuff like bears or badgers...

In Zao, Japan, you can play with foxes.
In Luján, Buenos Aires, Argentina, you can play with lions.

Your move, Japs.

He looks sad.
He actually has a rather grumpy face, if you look at it from front on
