they're stupid spam threads which only purpose is to stuffpost and boost post count. i would rather have an rp board separate from a forum games board, even though it would probably be really small.
i didn't really mind them when they were sparse and split between off topic and com. projects, but ever since it's been renamed to forum games everyone and their dog has to make one.
i don't really understand what's worth cringing or getting bothered in any facet over though. i mean some of the spin-offs of "X above user" threads are fun sometimes, and everyone is just remaking the game to fit their idea of what would be fun, which sometimes syncs with other people's idea of fun.
their purpose isn't explicitly for the purpose of being spammy as much as it is people wondering "hm, how this would work out and what kind of funny stuff THIS version could produce"
