When I was 11 I had to help move from a small town in east South Dakota to a school (yes I lived in a school) in northern Minnesota, where we lived with friends of my mother. We moved because my mother was afraid of my father (thankfully, all that stuff got sorted out). Also that same year, my mother and father nearly divorced and then we moved back to the original town in SD.
