Help! the server list doesn't work!

when i click the join a game buttion that says getting server list  and that doesn't show me server list!(my PC is an HP Pavilion,2GB RAM,Windows7)

What does "doesn't work" mean?

Is it blank?

Can you see anything?

Does it tell you something's wrong?
