Author Topic: Today I had surgery  (Read 1371 times)

Today I had my ingrown toenails fixed. Both my big toes were ingrown on both sides of each nail. The doctor injected some lydocaine and then removed the ingrown parts. There was blood and stuff everywhere and about a quarter of each nail was removed from each side.

Discuss serious ingrown toenails and other surgeries that you get to be awake for

My brother had an ingrown on his big toe while we were on vacation in Mexico once. Doctor had to remove most of the nail actually, it was really bad.

EWWWWWWWWW
ikr?!

when i was 8, i had to go to the dentist and put a shield on one of my tooth that protected it from the plaque.  i kept brusging and the plaque couldnt come off!  anyway, during the procedure, i was AWAKE!!
they put someting that looked like a hole puncher and a cloth  in my mouth, the guy clamped the "hole puncher" on my tooth, which was the most painful thing during the opperation. when he clamped the thingy, he pulled out the cloth with the thingy and i saw 2 holes in the cloth. then they put the shield in, then my jaw hurt for 2 months.

that was the closest thing to a surgery i have ever been through.

I have never gone to the hospital of my own medical reasons before.

Except for birth of course.

i went to the hospital last night due to a severe head pain. i rated it a 10/10 on the pain scale. i had massive amounts of pain above my right eye, before that, light was diffracting incorrectly through my left eye, so everything was so rainbow-ish. they gave me four injections, three in the hip and one in the shoulder. then they gave me a bottle of T-3
(Tylenol 3- has codeine in it) to take just in case i get it again.

ceist nooo. don't die on me.
