WHERE THE forget IS CAPOEIRA
cigaretteOT THATS DANCE FIGHT HYBRID

FIGHT ONLY OR GTFO

okay in all seriousness if i was a brazillian street tough hood kid and i was presented with bjj or capoeira
i'd take bjj lol

Same

...I bet if you changed the topic to 'post pics of ur fighter bod lul' this thread would get more attention

I am confident in my abilities in aikido, but not my fighting skills as that isnt what aikido focuses on. I also train under one of only 3 seventh dan black belts so i guess you could say i train under a master rather than buying my belts
aikido isn't a real martial art
Wrestling and boxing are both martial arts
they're combat sports, not martial arts

evans vs henderson anyone?  silva vs weidman is the next one

aikido isn't a real martial art
yeah, it is.
get over it.

ya fight us all irl bro lol

Anyways, there appears to be a large amount of TKD practitioners on the forums, so I figured I'd ask everyone: what's the toughest kick you've ever pulled off? I've done about two or three decent backside 720's, after about three dozen attempts lol

i pulled off a spinning back kick to the face once during sparring in thai :)

and holy stuff this chris weidman dude's from garden city

I did a 360 heel kick in a tourney a dropped someone like a bag of bricks. Since you still can't vote for multiple options, I've taken twelve years of TKD, Judo, Kempo, and JJ. I prefer a jack-of-all-trades to a master of one martial arts.

damn that's remarkable. what do they teach you in jiujitsu?

woo, I did BJJ and Judo for about 2 years, was pretty fun

Since I already had a bit of ground technique from judo, I focused a whole lot more on joint locks, arm and leg bars, and chokes. It was an absolute blast.

Once my back has fully recovered I plan on focusing more on wrestling and grappling since it's my weak point, should I start by practicing judo?

that lingering pain you get when you're punched or kicked in the teeth real hard </3

zloff wear a mouthpiece ya dumbo
and tbh I'd do BJJ. The throws in Judo, while effective, are hard to pull off. Plus, BJJ is actually derived from a type of Judo, so they'll be inclined to teach you some takedowns but with a huge emphasis on ground positioning, sweeps on the ground, and submissions.
