Planting bricks just ceases to work after planting a few

Alright so I was trying to build a sea floor adventure on Badspot's Block Party and I had to keep disconnecting and rejoining because planting bricks just stopped working.
So far I've only encountered this problem on Badspot's Block Party (Probably the only server I've tried building stuff on so I dunno if it's exclusive to the server or what)

The server is probably lagging, it happens a lot.

I think i know the issue. there are too many objects and blockland cannot handle more. its happened at badspots party before, just wait until he clears it.

But even though I destroyed my bricks, I couldn't re-place them. And I was still able to plant bricks, I just had to re-join.
