Why are the forums so loving slow sometimes?

I've had multiple accounts throughout the years and I've always had this problem with the forums running extremely slow, but that might have been my internet at the time. I don't know what the forget it is right now because whenever it lags, all my other webpages load just fine.

The forums started to slow down a lot recently, but before that it was pretty fast for me, even with my stuff internet.

They seemed to be fine today. At least for me that is.

theres periods of times where it will take like 10 seconds to load a page and other times it's pretty instant, sounds kindof like ddos

i feel that this slowness in speed only began after the forums updated or something
i only notice the slow speed when for me it takes about a day to change avatars
