Author Topic: I think Filipe did tons for our community. He needs a reward.  (Read 5645 times)

This is one of the most stupid statements I have ever heard
Why?...

Filipe's award is respect and being cool.

Why?...
Because we respect a lot of people in history for doing stuff, when someone else was bound to do it anyway.

I didn't say we shouldn't respect him did I?

He's a cool guy alright, but there's certainly others who deserve more than him and they probably haven't gotten jack.

I didn't say we shouldn't respect him did I?
Well we don't worship him, so your logic is flawed

Seems like Bushido sure does.

He should be asked to be on the dev team

He didn't say worship.
He said...

Anyways, Filipe doesn't deserve anymore reward than any other well known add-on maker.
The ones that I can think of off the top of my head are Bushido, Kaje, Trader, Phydeoux, Tophius, Nexus, Nobot, Demain, Zack0Wack0, Plornt, Heedicalking, Space Guy, Jirue...
There are plenty of others I still haven't mentioned.
The most any of these guys got was fame, an add-on possibly made default or some donation money.
No more than what Filipe ever received.
When someone makes an add-on, they do it for free, no reward asked for.
The fame and respect is reward enough.

He didn't say worship.
Yes he did, please read the HOLE argument before you reply.

filipe can kiss my ass.

reward him indeed lol. jesus christ.

He's a cool guy and all, but he gets Blockland fame, just like all other builders, add-on makers and whatnot.
That's enough, or at least should be.

This is really quite preposterous. All I'd like in return for my mods is recognition, and most of the time I don't get even that. Do you people have ANY IDEA how scarce the people who have actually heard of the Avatar Saver are? THE MOD that I put more work into than any other of my released mods, and basically only my closest BL friends have ever even heard of it or use it.

A reward for making a public mod for a game. HAH! If there's anything I've learned it's that the only reward you can ever possibly count on is the experience from making of the mod itself, and if you want anything else from this or any other community on the Internet then you're a naive fool and should give up modding forever.

is the avatar saver mod actually useful, xalos

It depends on whether or not you use more than ten avatars. Or I suppose if you REALLY want them to be named. It's incredibly useful for people who are constantly changing avatars or have more than ten main avatars. I don't actually have that many, but I have somewhere near a hundred saved avatars now.

Try fitting 100 avatars in 10 save slots.
