Author Topic: Wearing a Mask During a Riot/ Protest Now a Crime (In Canada)  (Read 2575 times)

It also makes me think about those people in the UK who like to call American fat oil thiefs on youtube, who probably stole a TV during the riots.
Funny thing about that is the obesity rates in the UK are quickly rising, not to mention the fact that 63.3% of the population does not exercise regularly.

On topic, it's probably a precaution to make sure people can't get away with committing crimes, not sure why it's a big deal.

Let's all move to Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica, no government has jurisdiction there. We will need to establish solar energy planets, a dish to receive internet, and a way to grow our on food. Also Ephi's house boat to sail across the sea's and trade with the foreigners for food and much needed supplies.

We shall sail to Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica and claim it for ourselves.

it's cold there, I think everyone will be okay with this.

Is this aimed more at those Anonymous masks and the like or Gas Masks so tear gas isn't effective?

Make it a crime to riot/protest

While it's absolute bullstuff and very against everything I stand for, I'm a little disappointed this will deter people from riots. If you can't say it with your face to the world, you won't fight for it when it matters.

Also During the the Larry King riots shop keepers in the China Town(the Los Angeles one) would barricade their shops and would use AR15's to fend off looters since the LAPD was busy with the riots.

Do you mean the L.A. Riots in 1992 that were about the LA police beating the stuff out of Rodney King? Those riots were complete bullstuff. The police were wrong, Rodney King was a scumbag who wasn't innocent but shouldn't of been beaten on the side of the road for stuffs and giggles. But I think the people rioting were super wrong.

Rioting is illegal in the first place, so if someone were to follow through with one crime what's stopping them from breaking some silly mask law?

That's not really the problem, I don't know why riot is included in the title. Peaceful protests are more what people think are a problem.

Peaceful protests AKA loitering

This it not the worst thing that the canadian government has done recently, at least in my opinion. I think all the stuff they did with the Kyoto protocol, and how that government just seems to dislike science in general is much more of a concern.

I don't see how this can be well enforced because everybody wears masks when there is a riot, unless they are going to charge you for it if you get arrested.

Now we wait for Candians to protest...

unlawful assembly doesn't mean anything the police don't like
You obviously don't live in Canada.
