Author Topic: hngnh mcafee why  (Read 1390 times)

So, my dad decided it was a good idea to install mcafee on everyones computer a few years ago.
..yeah right.
So, after enough annoyance from the little pop-ups I decided to delete it.
Ever since I've deleted McAfee, my whooole computer slows down a bit. Not like, sloow slow, but whenever I listen to music or something there is little clicks and occasionally a few seconds of noticable lag.
I've tried their little installer program thing and stuff, and uh...being someone where 90% of their PC time is used dealing with sound effects, and then having this happen, it for some reason gets extremely aggravating, so if anybody has any suggestions...?

NINJA(?) EDIT:
Also, whenever viewing anything that has sound, it does this. For some reason though, not on games. (atleast, not as noticable.)
HERE YA GO. THE MUSIC DOESNT DO WHAT THE VIDEO SHOWS THOUGH, IT JUST LAGS BADLY.

I was expecting the "How To Uninstall McAfee Antivirus" video on YouTube which contains scantily clad women and lots of drugs.

John McAfee was pretty cool. He lived like he was a real international spy in south america. The only thing is that he really wasn't.

Same, though it would totally help Arekan.

Do you have Malwarebytes installed by any chance and running at start-up?

john mcafee sold crack in the 80's i think to be on topic on this.

he also wants to feel young by injecting testosterone in his buttcheek once in awhile.

there's a whole article on him in a wired magazine somewhere...

I do have Malwarebytes, but I made it so nothing starts up when I log-in cuz it just takes longer.

Uninstall it.

There's some type of big time glitch with Malwarebytes. After a while it will start to dig into your processor load and spike it up then cause sound latency lag. I'm not joking.

Install it only when you need it. I had this problem too. I spent a whole day trying to figure out what was causing my random lag spikes and sound lag until I read somewhere that Malwarebytes has an issue with it. Uninstalled it and it worked again.
