I'm going to DC for a day. Wat do.

Plenty of neat museums.
If you come across Mellow Mushroom over in Adams Morgan, eat there. It's some pretty goddamn awesome pizza.

The memorials are cool and all, but if I only had a day I would definitely go to the museums. I would skip the spy museum, since you have to pay for it. There are a ton of free museums there and you can spend hours at each one easily. Any of the Smithsonian ones are awesome, especially their Imax science theaters and their planetarium. The federal  reserve is also cool to visit, they have a neat little museum. Also on each visit everyone in your group gets a bag of a few thousand dollars shredded up for free.

If whoever your going with plans on driving tell them NO. Ride the buses, they take you everywhere you need to go. They're also really cheap. I think DC has a subway system but I never used it. All you need to get to anywhere in the city are legs and a bus pass.

As for the monuments, I think the Washington Monument was definitely the coolest. Really any monument for a president is cool, but war monuments are kind of boring. I mean seeing one really is impressive, but it's just not as interesting as the musuems or the Lincoln or Washington museum.

And for eating, there are a ton of awesome places to go. Don't you dare loving go to a chain place, if you do you're a loving moron. Really though, DC is a blast and you're gonna have an amazing time.

I am going to Washington D.C. in few days, too.

Very excited for it.

My advice is the best advice. If you don't do what I said I will be very disappointed in you, very.

Ya, lol. I think I am going to spend most of the time in the Smithsonian Museum.

Go see the Hope Diamond in the museum of natural history. Everybody who ever came in contact with that diamond has died soon after the diamond left their hands, even the guy who delivered it to the museum died shortly after. (You should also try to steal it)

For a day? I wouldn't try to go to any museum for a day. The Capitol building, White House, washingon monument, Lincoln memorial, WW2 memorial, and Vietnam memorial are all within walking distance (that I can think of) and embassy row is pretty cool if you catch a cab.

You should hit me up, I can give you a pretty decent tour of the National Portrait Gallery. I live right around the area, and the NPG is my favorite smithsonian museum

DC has a pretty decent subway system. I use it whenever I go there because parking is a bitch.

Am I the only one who doesn't get worked up about go to D.C.? I guess it's because it's about an hours drive from where I live and I've been their so many times, but really.

Go in a museum, break stuff, run away, go to jail, come home. perfect trip  :cookieMonster:
