So, I thought I was supposed to be working for a guy I worked for last summer. I talked to him Sunday and never mentioned about working for him. Later he talked to my dad and told him that it didnt sound like I was interested in working. Im was really confused so today I texted him asking if I could work tomorrow and Thursday. He tells me he will text me later because he does not know yet. Its 11pm and he still hasnt texted me.

On Craigslist there is a job opening for a blueberry picker at a local farm. Pays $9/h  9a.m. - 12 p.m. and its goes Monday - Saturday. Starts in July and ends in August. Its one town over from me but I wouldnt make as much as working for the other guy and its not really something that interests me.

So BLF do you think I should wait another day or two and see if the guy responds or should I sent the blueberry guy my application tomorrow?

uh sounds dangerous
plus picking blueberries
ehhh

but go ahead I guess if the other guy is dragging his feet

Put in an app to the farm. If this other guy contacts you, tell the farm when they call you found something else

only thing Im woried about is the guy does roofing so when I do get paid I get paid well but if the work is unsteady and he doesnt have work then Im stuck making nothing

go for the blueberry job and bring headphones. I've done harvesting before and it's really not that bad, even when it's hot. Plus, it's not long each day. I was working 6 hour shifts

A consistently higher amount of money sounds better than a lower-paid job you don't enjoy.

If you still want to wait for a reply, then just send an application to the Blueberry job.
You have full right to turn down a job after it's been offered to you.
If the other guy doesn't reply, then go for the blueberry one.
If he does, then come up with a decision and go for whichever you prefer.
And if you go for his, then just politely tell the blueberry people that you're working with someone else now.

dude i wanna pick berries.

i would eat so many loving berries :D

well if all worked out well I would get about $1100 at the farm. Thats IF I worked 3 hours a day, 6 days a week at $9 an hour for 7 weeks.

I only have to do actual work for 2 hours and 3 days a week c:
After the farming part we learn about sustainable agriculture and get to hang out and talk to all the cool people.

Don't forget taxes

$9 an hour is good for a kiddo your age. Plus the hours are gonna have you making bank. Put in an app, but let the employer know that you want to see if this other job is open as well. It's normal for people to apply to a couple places at a time.

Hm, thought it was 9 to midnight. Three hours a day is lacking. Consider a job with more hours, but keep that one as a second that you can work on off days to keep a good cash influx.

its a local farm so its probably under the table

applied for the farm job.
