Again, it's not a baby. It is, at the very most, a fetus. Although abortions are often performed when the developmental stage isn't even that far along.

The fetus in the early stages is just a clump of the same types of cells, differentiation has not been undergone, and it has no memory, sentience, or feeling whatsoever. What you're suggesting is the same as saying it's illegal to kill a bunch of cells.
