Author Topic: Any ubuntu distros, or anything related to Arch Linux?  (Read 1109 times)

/title

I can't install Arch Linux, because I don't have a writable CD, so i'm looking for an installable OS similar to Arch Linux.

Gentoo, Funtoo... There's a few others but I don't remember their names.

xubuntu is probably the only ubuntu derivative that balances everything right without tons of bloat. you could try out crunchbang too I guess.

Arch is it's own little "bubble", completely unrelated to Ubuntu in every way and pretty much every other linux distro, aside from the fact that they both run on Linux.

I don't want to sound like an starfish, but do you know what you're doing here?

Crunchbang looks cool, then there's Xubuntu..

Gentoo (as far as setup and managing goes) is pretty similar to Arch.

Xubuntu. Definitely Xubuntu.
You've sounded like you don't know what you're doing most of the time.

Well then again #! is Debian based. :x

Just go with Xubuntu.
