I don't really care about gay people, unless they act flamboyant all the time or make it obvious that they're gay.
I've heard this statement countless times and each and every time it falls flat. That is such an erroneous and simply unthoughtful thing to say. I'm not even going to bother composing a metaphor to explain what I mean because that was such a foolish comment.

You do realize that the system of government we have is set up to protect minority rights.

If you are not going to explain yourself, you might as well not have a reason to hate it.
Besides, expanding your vocabulary can make anyone appear more intelligent, a common technique used in quarrels like this.

sorry but that system is being eradicated by progressives by trying to make things more and more oriented towards popular vote

-blah-

I can't believe that I have to say this but let me bring up the wonderful US constitution and its first amendment.

Quote from: The Founding Fathers of the USA, The First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Didn't make that clear enough? I'll quote again.

Meaning that if your reasons for voting for or against a law for the USA is due to a religious reason of your own, then it's just too bad. It doesn't matter if it's a "vast majority".

1st amendment bud.

The thing I don't like about the Jews, blacks, and gays is when they flock together and say guys "We are oppressed, give us attention and stuff!". Meanwhile we let the Native American's suffer on run down reservations, we do nothing about Israel's illegal colonization of Palestine. Guess who voted no on Palestine's statehood.

We still have tribes in Africa and South America who have lived the same way as their ancestors did during the Ice Age, and here we are living in modern times letting people starve. We have nations who still practice genocide such as Serbia and Russia(see Chechen War). There are governments that deny it's basic rights to people like religions or in some cases atheism. There are people in Vietnam as well as veterans still suffering from the agent orange attacks that the us military sprayed on them. We have established a weak government in Afghanistan that will most likely fall to the Taliban regime and revert the nation as it was back in 2001.

It is time we must move on and help the other oppressed groups.

I loathe ignorance.

I don't really care about gay people, unless they act flamboyant all the time or make it obvious that they're gay.

I don't really care about furries, unless they act flamboyant all the time or make it obvious that they're a furry.

I don't really care about straight people, unless they act annoyingly heteroloveual all the time or make it obvious that they're straight.

I don't really care about republicans, unless they act bigoted all the time or make it obvious that they're republican.

I don't really care about people of faith, unless they act religious all the time or make it obvious that they think you are going to hell.

What you've stated is that you are fine with homoloveuals as long as they act in a manner that does not bother you. Because every gives a dam about your ideas of conformity. Learn to tolerate people and their ways, not everyone is a white heteroloveual who attends church on Sunday and thanks god for helping them with their school spelling bee. forget off.

If you are not going to explain yourself, you might as well not have a reason to hate it.

"You're not allowed to express yourself because it makes me uncomfortable" is pretty much what you said.

actually most do nerd
Your way of replying isn't even clear what you're arguing against. Most what do what?
Most religions hate gays? Please don't get caught up in the common "my god or no god" that many religious people get into when arguing on religious matters; there are tons of religions other than yours. A lot of them may have become comparatively small compared to the big religions of today, but don't try to deny that there are still many sizable religions that exist that have positive or neutral stances. Even within religions whose official stance is negative (christianity) there are tons of people within that religion with positive or neutral stances.

Most people don't favor LGBT rights? I need only point to several states whose populations voted on ammendments last November, either in favor of LBGT rights that passed, or against LGBT rights that failed to pass, or the history of increasing support of LGBT rights.

as previously stated yes they do!!! they are entirely allowed to vote for who and what they want
Ok, legally, yes they have the right to vote for whatever they want.
But morally, how can they justify shoving their opinions down the throat of everyone in the country?
EDIT: Actually, even legally it's objectionable, due to the establishment clause discussed earlier. No matter how many different, seemingly-rational arguments they attempt to veneer their hatred with, the core is still an irrational, religion-inspired prejudice.

Also I feel that the main reason many of these religions were against homoloveuality because it doesn't result in reproduction (This argument is still often used today)
But times change after several hundred years. The only issue with population is overpopulation.

Quote me where I said that.
You kind of confused me there and caused me to quote the wrong person; Menen wasn't addressing you

I don't really care about gay people, unless they act flamboyant all the time or make it obvious that they're gay.
Please elaborate and specifically what you mean by "make it obvious that they're gay"

I can't stand women because of extreme feminists
I can't stand white people because of the kool kids klub
I can't stand Mexicans because of illegal immigrants

that's what you sound like
I don't really care about gay people, unless they act flamboyant all the time or make it obvious that they're gay.
