Hi I installed linux ubuntu 13.04 today i was really happy and i wanted to play blockland on wine i launched the game and i went to the character menu... This is what there was:

Now look at my character, you can see the feet bottom polygon is grey and the... PANTS... are white...

Is there any way to fix this?

It makes your shoes look shiny

Easy fix. Stop making your computer run on crappy operating systems.

Holy stuff- All of you are useless to this thread, get out please.

As for the issue, I can't really say what's wrong, Blockland isn't exactly supported on Linux so you're very prone to issues.

Mine wasn't useless. Everybody thinks it's an awesome idea to use these supposedly awesome Linux operating systems. Then when they install them, they come running to the forums and complain about all the bugs every day. So here's the easy fix. Don't download crappy operating systems just to make your desktop look cool.

Sure you've got a point but it was fairly aggressive and that is not true, except some people might do that but as far as I know Linux is very efficient and makes great use for servers.

Using a Linux distro has more benefits than just a cool desktop. Even in larger distros like Ubuntu, it doesn't take up as much space as Windows, uses less resources, is faster than Windows in more cases than not, has plenty of nice, open-source software, is an excellent development platform, has a great community surrounding it, and it teaches you a lot about the internal workings of computers. The bash scripting language is much more versatile and has many more feature compared to Windows' batch, and it's very, very customizable.

What video card do you have, OP? That may help narrow things down a bit.

If you go to the options menu and then look in the advanced tab, there should be something called "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects." Toggle it and see what happens.

Does it look normal to other players?

After Doomonkey posted i went to Blockland todo it but I went to my player menu and the polygons were fine so I didn't hav to do it, but thanks anyway!

UPDATE: If you change your graphics card drivers it fixes the polygons but screws up everything else

Even with Ubuntu I still prefer to compile my own drivers (really really easy) as I've noticed I get the best performance and my graphics card name also shows up in the "Details" button in the settings rather than TAHITI. However last time I compiled the drivers and ran BL with wine I experienced really weird issues.
