what is your transportation
Bike if it's close enough, but most likely I will pick a date where my mother is off work so we can decide if the person is sketch or not. Not a good idea to go alone. I'd be taking my laptop and stuff so I can trouble shoot while I'm there, too.

I'd be taking myself and my laptop over there to fix the person's computer. That's a reason why the prices are a little high, they don't have to leave their computer at Best Buy or similar.

On the subject of posting the website and or a flyer I may or may not make on Craigslist. Yes or no?

I don't think anybody would really want to hire a 15 year old guy for computer repairs.

I mean, that's why there are professionals, right?

Good luck anyways.

I did this on a whim not expecting any results at all. Any money that comes from it is more money than I had before.

i did it for about a year or so. i did fixes for 30bucks if they bring it to me. or +5 bucks per round trip for a housecall.
as long as you are cheaper then geek squad's housecalls, you can make some money. and being cheaper then them is loving easy to do lol

anyways. anything that took (or i knew would take) more then 2 hour visit, i would just keep the comp overnight and charge them another 5 bucks for another round trip of me driving over the next day to drop it off lol.

just keep the contracts and prices simple.
in your SINGLE PAGE contract, make sure you point out that your 3 day warrenty only applies to the problems you just fixed.
plenty of computer dumb people think you getting rid of the 1 virus means the entire computer should be problem free forever and unrelated issues they would try to blame on your for not fixing lol.

I did look at GeekSquads house call, they charge $49.99
As for a contract, I didn't think of that. Thanks.

and dont be a repair man + computer consultant.
you wanna avoid them paying for more ram, or subscribing to virus apps, or buying externals for making auto-weekly backups. all that sales man crap that those people SHOULD do but you dont earn from. it just becomes a wash, break even on expense and you appear more spendy then you actually are.
its none of your business if they break their computer again.

how much would it suck if you go and can't do something that geeksquad can
or if you forget up their computer

geek squad just runs a dvd that has like 50 apps. that do all the work for them. they really have little knowledge of computers lol.
i had a copy of an 2004 version they used. was some useful stuff, but nothing we havnt all used in free no name apps online.

I don't mean to put you down or anything but most people wouldn't trust a 15 year old to fix their computers.

It's already forgeted up because they're calling a repair man. I'll try to fix it, and in the case that I cant, they don't have to pay. If the computer was broken because of this I would do a wipe for free and redo their backup I took before I started working on a risky project. Most of the time it will be virus scans anyway.

This is why I stressed in "about me" that I know stuff about computers.

You are [y virtues here regarding PCs] and you are using Weebly to create a website.
Nice job.

Oh.
You should put in a refunds section too, so that people will trust you more.
Alright, looks good. Good luck.

Regular websites require money which is why I'm doing this in the first place. I only used weebly because it it simple, effective, and I've used it before.
