RTB Dedicated Hosting Competition

So recently there's definitely been a lack of innovative server ideas and themes which is why we've decided to run a competition to encourage some creativity and imagination within the community. It's also summer so you guys should be done with school and exams and have plenty of time for building.

The competition is simple: post your idea for a server theme and the best idea with the most community support will win an RTB dedicated server for 2 months and an additional free month if the idea is successful. To make it easy to find competition entries, please put a big heading at the top of your post to say it's an entry.

Closing date: 21st July

Just a note, a well thought through and developed idea (not just a one liner) is going to be more likely to win.

Well I actually have an idea but I already have a server and I'm going to host it one way or another so it seems like I shouldn't by trying to deny the opportunity for someone who CAN'T host for themselves.

Brickcake's 1920s Mafia TDM

Cyberpunk 80's sci fi action movie setting TDM. Cyborgs vs. Humans, humans have to blow up the power core. There can be a new playertype for the cyborgs and maybe make new laser weapons with unique qualitys and stuff. We can get some badass 80's sci fi music in the backround also.

how about something along the lines of like survival DM or TDM, kind of like hunger games but in blockland, and you need to scavange loving everything to find a simple bow, maybe like evade a bunch of obstacles. maybe there is a sentral "game maker" who controls everything, while the contestants fight to the death with each other, plus the map is giant and each match is like 30 minutes to 1 hour long
each map is randomly generated, random weather, and stuff
and its super realistic like getting hit once with a weapon slows you down and you bleed really slowly and you die, unless you have like a bandage or something
so just hunger games in blockland

Gravity cat has his own health system with bleeding out once you reach a certain health level/medkits for counteracting bleeding


But I do have to support Derroith's seeing as he already has something going very well and I would love to see him get a free server to host it 24/7/whatever
