very pretty!

i have to say the buildings look a bit like jakeblade's from the gallery topic he started, did they influence you? also did you make the bamboo?

Excellent, the logic behind why big buildings are on small islands is confusing- but forget it!!

This is really nice, well done terrain, the buildings are ok, the tower I really don't like but ...

Yes from me!

yes i built all of the bamboo/other plants.

Me and jake had similar styles in the beginning. This was supposed to be medieval-esque, so I naturally used brick for exterior. I've always loved brick roofs.

I did build a building on his server though, and I suppose they had some influence on me. (His buildings are fantastic.), but once again, we had similar styles to begin with.

Thanks Derroith.

By the way; may or may not be here tomorrow.

small bump, want more opinions regarding it

i thought you couldnt app for cohort
because "WE ARE FRIENDS NOT AN ORGANIZATION" or whatever

Hi

So, I thought I would take this little time I have on this computer to comment the app. I will be back home in a week or so where I can fully activate my membership in this clan.

I'm gona pull a quick review. It's a no from me. The terrain is way to flawed to actually get this app accepted. The cliff terrain is made in layers where you make a sort of stair structure out of 3x height bricks and then detail it abit with either 2x or 1x heights. It's so monotone, ugly and really draws your attention. Am I the only one seeing these sort of horizontal stripes on the cliff sides. You can so easily see how you've executed the building of the terrain which makes it look so unnatural but most of all ugly in bl. It is detailed and probably took alot of time but the terrain is at the beginning of the creating wrongly made. IMO

And then when you remove the terrain, what is left? Some quite simple yet cute buildings. They work well with an enviroment but they're helpless on their own thus I can hardly find anything really impressive or breathtaking in this app which is what I seek in a fellow cohort.

With this app, I don't want you in our clan.. However, I don't rule this clan.. everyone got their vote and seeing 3 already said yes I think it would be rather unusual if the remaining two would say no. Please mind the 70% rule which means that only 2 noes is needed to get your app denied.

Man this got a little longer than I first thought.
Keep on building dude.

Maybe you should read our clan thread.

I was confused about the 70% rule, as it says 70% of active members. I assumed that because you wouldn't be here for another week, you wouldn't be counted as active member until your return. So I thought that only 4/5 active members had to vote yes in order for me to be accepted. But obviously, that has changed.

(This has nothing to do with my application, and Sylvanor said that 5/6 people had to vote yes after I asked, but it was confusing in the beginning. Should someone who is on vacation with no computer be counted as an active member? Unless you knew that you would get to use a computer before you returned, of course.)

Thank you for the input. I don't quite agree with some of what you stated, but we all have opinions.
The application as a whole looks better in-game, so I would've preferred you saw it when you came back before voting, but that's alright as well.

I respect your opinion.

Hopefully Leo and Lordy will both vote yes in this case so that I can begin working on projects with you guys, but nothing is certain.
People see ideas differently, so I hope that they will be able to see this application's little charms around the map. (Not implying that Sleven didn't, but as we saw, his review was based off of mostly the terrain.)

If denied, of course I'll work to make another application, but with school just around the corner, I will hardly have enough time, not to mention how tiring it is to get a new vision and work on it for weeks. I'm willing to take the challenge with a winner's attitude however, because even though I hope this is my last application, I applied for [H]eight 5 times lol.

Thanks Lego lad.

Concerning the 70% rule I have to say I completely forgot that I added "active yeses". Quite embarrasing and I pardon for my oblivion. If you may, I'm gona remove that from the rules.

I'm sorry, but I'll also have to say "no". I agree with Sleven on many points, though I don't think the terrain is horrible, I think it just looks amateur. I don't like how the cliffs just cut off sharply and how the tops of the islands are completely flat, it seems very unnatural. That being said, it's still a very nice build, but I don't think it shows your strongest skills.

I think that the structures and buildings need to be the stars of the show. Your last app was a large terrain with a small building, this app has more buildings, but the terrain is still the focus. If the terrains were perfect on both, there would not have been a problem, but they are not.

Sleven is right to focus on the terrain, because that is what makes the app interesting! You should not focus on terrain, and there is nothing wrong with that! I can't build terrain that well, but my builds don't require terrain so it doesn't matter. Do the same, if you apply again, make it something that doesn't rely on terrain to work.

Good luck!
