    Stages of growth: 10
    Price per unit: 15$

  • Cannabis
Grows endlessly, is trimmed to the previous stage to harvest. Illegal, cops will destroy cannabis growing in the open.
    Stages of growth: 10
Price per unit: seeds cost 250$ cannot be sold to government. Can be smoked.

Tools:

  • Building tools. Hammer, printer, wrench.
  • Harvest tool. Looks like a pair of sheers. Used to harvested ripe plants, and clear out dead ones.
  • Shovel. Used to till soil to make it more fertilized and therefore increase crop output.
  • Seed Bags. Currently using a watering can model for this, but a little bag model would be great. Used to plant seeds you bought or grew on planting soil.
  • Watering can. Will be added in once I get a seed bad model. For now you just click plant bricks to water them.

Bricks:
  • Planting soil brick. Costs 500$ and is where you plant crops. Can be tilled to increase output.
  • Sprinkler brick. Costs 2500$ and will water each adjacent brick once per minute. Can be toggled on and off.
  • Heat lamp, increases tempature of nearby plants. Allowing growth in winter, and faster growth during spring and fall.
  • Plant fence. Used to plant plants that grow on fences. Currently only used for grapes.
  • Large soil (bush) brick. Used to plant larger plants, like bushes or trees. Currently used for blueberries.

The Government:
  • The government. Whenever you buy crops, pay to build, or pay for a special brick, the government gets that money.
  • When you sell crops, you sell them to the government, and it loses a bit of money.
  • Sometimes, the government will payout a stimulus, based on how many players are in the server, and how much money it has.
  • If the government has no money, you can not sell crops for a short time.
  • Also, it does cost a little bit to build regular old bricks.

How to get started:
  • (read the tutorial in game!)
  • Find an empty lot, NOT A ROAD, and /buylot
  • Make a baseplate on the empty lot you bought.
  • Make a few planting soil bricks on that baseplate.
  • Optional: till the soil bricks with the till soil tool. (the shovel)
  • Type /buy <crop> <amount> to buy starter seeds. If you wanted to buy 5 potatos you'd type: "/buy potato 5"
  • Use the respective planting tool (the watering cans) and click each brick ONCE to plant a seed there.
  • Click the brick to water it.
  • Each stage will require the plant to be rewatered. You can tell if it needs water if the soil is lighter colored.
  • Once the plant is ready to be harvested, get out the harvest tool and hit the plant's brick.
  • One stage too early and you'll get half the harvest. Any earlier and you'll get nothing. Wait too long and the plant dies.
  • Optional: Use some of the harvest to replant, unless you want to try a different crop.
  • Type /sell<crop> <amount> For now there's no space between /sell and the crop. If you wanted to sell 5 corn you'd type "/sellcorn 5"
  • Repeat and expand!

A while ago I hosted a farm mod, as I was preparing to add it into Blocktopia. The farming server got quite popular, whereas the complete Blocktopia server did not do as well. So I figured I'd just continue developing a simple farming server. If anyone would like to make a few simple models for me (tools mostly) I'd really appreciate that and add your name to the credits/topic. Also, I am indeed planning on making more types of crops. (And tools, and bricks) But I want to get the core mechanics working first.

You can only harvest the crops of yourself and people you have full trust of.

Ok yey

We have like 24 players now.
Not bad. I feel like it's too easy to basically get to the end though. There needs to be some kind of hierarchy to go though, something that makes 'beating the game' take a long time.

would be a decent server (if a little monotonous) if drendran wasnt the most unhelpful and aggravating host ive ever ran into

Oh hi poo.
 :cookieMonster:

I couldn't imagine something more boring then sitting on your fatass waiting for some stupid virtual plants to go big so you can delete them and watch the next generation of plants go big, and while doing that you also get to use a water tool like every minute or your boring plants stop going big

Somehow reminds me of that crap roblox tycoon type of game

It might actually be loads of fun but this is the idea I get of the game after reading the topic.

This. There should be more to do. Farmers often have barns too. It would be a lot more fun if you could have a barn full of animals of which you can kill and sell their meat. Or you can sell horses and stuff.

Believe it or not, animals would become just as boring and monotonus as plants.
I definitly see what you guys are saying, and am trying to make it more interactive.
I think this is a step in the right direction from other farming games on blockland though.

There are a bunch of idiots running around in tanks blowing everything up. Why that stuffs enabled in the first place and why there are no admins are beyond me.
