• start a singleplayer server and learn the controls
• understand how to build

     Only because I have never met you and do not know what you are like, I will make a few suggestions as to how you should act in-game, and on the forums.

Ingame:
1. Do not go into a server and spam the chatbox asking to be an admin.  Any proper host will only give admin rights to people who have gained their trust. 
2. Do not just build whatever or wherever you want, unless of course the server is a freebuild, many serverss are previews of builds, or set up for games such as deathmatches.
3. No spawn killing.
4. General manners, and use of proper English is always a plus.

Forums:
1. People tend to dislike it if a person bumps a topic over a month old.
2. Spamming e-motes is kind of unappreciated, and some of them mean things other than what they represent.  It is easy to pick up

I would suggest starting out by joining some servers and meeting people.  After that I think you should do what you find most interesting.  Welcome to Blockland, enjoy the best building game on Earth.
