Author Topic: ok, so how many blocklanders can actualy run the shaders?  (Read 5358 times)

i have played blockland on several computers and only one of them could run shaders (it could only do minimum) so am i the only one or are the the shaders just not all that compatible

Any intel graphics cannot run shaders

they can run minimum shaders

they can run minimum shaders
It depends on what you have. Some can't run them period and some can't run minimum

I run Blockland with every setting at the best (including shaders) and force 24x MSAA externally at 100-250 FPS.

I can but they OBLITERATE MAH FRAME-RATE!
Seriously, UDK is $100 buckeroos for a sales license. I'm absolutely CERTAIN that Badspot can afford UDK, maybe he could atleast move to Id Tech 4, or preferably the Starbreeze studios engine when they consider releasing it 'cause it looks real good. The remastered Escape from Butcher Bay looks better than Crysis (IMO) because of it's use of lighting and specular maps. You should see the showers when you escape the first tier prison block!

You do realize the effort it would take to port blockland to a new engine would be so hard it's just not convenient. If it was that easy badspot probably would have done it by now.

It would take time, yes. But what about atleast making a mod for Doom 3 as a prototype or a mod for Unreal tournament 3 as a prototype?
We could all download and try it out.

Also I guess you gotta know the coding language aswell, huh? forget.

If you're asking to remove shaders and take back terrain because nobody can run them, gtfo.

If you're just asking how many people can run it, not me, but I don't really care about graphics on games like Blockland.

dont worry, im glad maps are gone

I run them on Medium with barely any impact on framerates.

I can run Max, but with a lot of consequences.

I can run max shaders with 256,000 bricks and get 60 FPS easily.
