Blockland forums still running slow?

I know there was talk about the whole servers on the forums switching or something, during the time of the Spellcheck was removed (RIP)

I've kept a log of my timings within the last week. These are the most excessive ones.
This doesn't happen on any other website ever, it's only been Blockland, and it's nothing to deal with the type of thread or anything, I've kept comment about where I was going that took so long.

Is there still kinks in the system or it is solely my browser? I'm using Google Chrome, and again, the forums the only website that takes this long to load ever.

iirc there's a ddos attack

i don't know if it's still happening or not, and i also don't know if the search function being re-added means that it no longer causes slowdowns

I honestly doubt someone has held a mildly strong DDoS for the past 2-3 months

I think our server 'upgrade' was basically a downgrade.
That our the new versions of smf are being a pain

Sorry but those two posts made me lol. I dont think Badspot ever stated the server being migrated to was better or worse but considering the slowdown, I am guessing it was a worse/cheaper hardware server?

It's annoying. search runs god-awfully slow and i STILL can't sort by post count or author since the migration. old server was best server.

it just seems jerky. about 3 out of 5 pages will open fast/normally for me and then the other two be around 5-15 seconds. Once in a while I get something around 15-20 seconds.

whenever i get the attack, opening other tabs and links on blockland forums will all have the same delay, but they'll all quickly load together once the "pause" is over. I think its more an issue with the server not having a consistent upload or something.

ironically this post was one of the slow ones around 15 seconds

Cant badspot just migrate to another computer so that nobody knows what computer he is using and what the ip address is so nobody can ddos it?
