design = quality ogm!11
remember the older times when the only thing there was, is macintosh and windows 1?

Really just depends on what your needs are, and what specs your machine has.

I'd never put Linux on a gaming rig of course, but the laptop I'm on now would be better off with Linux than even Windows 7.
also haha eye candy, ah good times, good times

the only reason you would use ubuntu or linux over windows is if you a programmer or you have a computer thats like 10 years old
i mean really, windows is way loving easier to use, and you can game on it

and what the forget you think linux is better
because it has more loving animations
are
are you serious
jesus christ

But Windows can make cool songs when it breaks! CAN UBUNTU DO WHAT YOU DO WITH THE FANCY VOODOO THAT YOU DO? or uhhh can linux do uhm... deluxe robux tux err

I saw this as soon as it was posted and just couldn't respond adequately
thank you forums for doing so

So about 6 times as fast?
Twice * Thrice = 6 times.
what the forget

3 * 3 = 9

what the forget

3 * 3 = 9
uh twice = 2 and thrice = 3
2 x 3 = 6
basic math idk

HOLY
loving
stuff

LOOK AT THIS ANIMATION
OH MY GOOO
IT RUNS JUST A LITTLE SLOWER?

HOLY stuff

"hey tommy do you wanna play on my new computer? i got the newest, best video card"
*slap*
forget THAT stuff THIS THING'S GOT ANIMATIONS!

Those animations aren't added by Linux, by the way. They're added by the composition manager, which is in this case, compiz. Composition managers are there to add drop shadows, and other general window effects. Linux is simply the kernel of the entire OS, Ubuntu.

Don't direct the praise where it doesn't belong.

Windows can do those composition manager effects, too. Somebody just has to program it.

Yes, Windows has some undesirable features, and so does Linux. The thing with Linux is that there are lots of distros out there. Some people make their own distro suited for the purpose they desire. However, Windows is closed-source and has just a few versions.

Linux can be made to look really different than the OP depending on the window manager.

OP you can leave now, i don't think anyone uses linux specifically for its smaller installation size and SOOPER-KOOL TRANZITIONS.

idk about you but windows 8 is shown to be faster than windows 7, which is pretty fast (especially if you're on an SSD), and 8.1 probably at least a bit faster too.

i'm actually considering going to windows 8.1 now that it's got the start button and all that, but eh.

that UI/desktop in the op is really stuffty looking.

All operating systems suck, I just hate windows 7 the least. I would design something better, But i have NO such knowledge of scripting or coding.

Windows 8.1:

nice product key

i would remove that if i were you

you hipster

I personally enjoy all the programs and games I get to play on Windows, as well as not having to learn quantum physics just to install video card drivers.
