No, the temple may hold treasure.  Instead, hide it and mark its location so that you can come back to it some time later, should your inventory somehow expand.

Move toward temple.

As you walk along the walls of the temple, advancing to I - 8, you hear a rustling from the bushes.
You draw your sword as a giant rat approaches!

Rat's Stats
Attack: [2]
Defense: [3]
Health: [20]

Level: [2]

Mark's Stats
Attack Stats: [8] [5(skill) + 3(Virgin Sword)]
Defense Stats: [5]
Health Stats: [10]

Level: [1]


Moves:
  • Slash with Sword (skill + weapon damage)
  • Kick (skill damage only)
  • Punch (skill damage only)
  • Attempt to run (no damage, 50 percent chance of getting caught by rat)

Well you may not be superior in health but you're most definitely superior in combat.  Chop its head off.

You attack the rat for a full 8 damage.

Defense [3] - [8] = [0] (defense acts like armor or a shield, absorbing some damage. The leftover damage is applied to health)

Health [20] - [5] = [15]

The rat has 15 health left

The rat attacks, causing 2 damage.

Defense [5] - [2] = [3]

Health [10] - [0] = [10]

Moves:

Guess so. Well, I guess now any wearable item doesn't take up inventory space.

You move to entrance of the temple. Hanging on a branch jutting out from a nearby tree is a leather object. You examine it and find that it is a leather pack. The inside is much larger and nicer than your original one. This one can hold 7 inventory items.
