You take the bag and equip it. Inside the bag you find a map to the dungeon.

Temple map mechanics:

Moving in a dungeon is different than that of moving outside.
You can move any where that you want to, except for on a wall or on a door.

If you are on O - 3, you can move to any square inside of the current room such as N - 6 or M - 8, excluding doors (brown) locked doors (yellow) Treasure chests (dark brown) and boss fights / exits (red)

If a room is green, that means that the room is mostly safe and you have a very small chance to encounter a monster.

If the room is light gray, that means that there is a 50/50 chance of fighting a monster.

If the item that you interact with is bright red, there will be a 100% chance of a boss fight with valuable loot dropped. Also the only way out of the dungeon is through the dungeon boss.

To interact with an anomaly on the dungeon map, simply stand one square next to in in any direction.

To successfully open a locked door, you need a key item. You can find these by grinding/battling monsters. Each monster has a 20 percent chance to drop a key.

To interact with a chest or a door, simply stand next to the door or chest and request for it to be opened.

Quest update: Explore the island for (5) blocks. (completed!) + 50 exp!
Position update: Position is now Temple of Gern-Do'alt (O - 2)

Total Experiance: [175]

You are now level 2!
Choose one attribute to increase

Total Attack: [8] [5(skill) + 3(virgin sword)] (when increased adds one point of attack damage to skill damage)

Total Defense:[5] (when increased adds 2 points of total defense and completely refills defense)

Total Health:[10] (when increased adds 5 points of total health and completely refills health)

Quest and Position updates:

New Quest!

Quest: Defeat the boss of Gern-Do'Alt. (+75 exp)
Position update: Position is now Temple of Gern-Do'alt (O - 2)

Increase total health.

Move to M-2, open door(?).

Increase total health.

You need a key for that. Yellow doors require keys where as brown ones don't. A valid response would be
"Move to J - 7, open door"

Quest and Position updates:

Position update: Position is now Temple of Gern-Do'alt (O - 2)

Status update:
Total health is now [15]

Current health is [15/15]

Well couldn't you just leave it lit on the floor and it would have the same effect?

But you take it with you for all dungeons. For all you know, the other dungeons could be unlit.

Yeah but if this dungeon is completely lit then there's no need for it now, plus it leaves room for any treasure at the end of the dungeon.  If we still have room, then we can take it on our way out.  Search the room for keys.

You trudge around the room, and find nothing. But just about when you are going to exit, you hear the sound of 8 legs running along the stone floor.

With our defense being 5 wouldn't that negate the damage?
