Author Topic: Computermix's new "script" (Blockland hack)  (Read 71983 times)

I was trying to open it in notepad to see how it worked

cant tell if serious

chuckled my loving ass off at yola's bullstuff lol

you never stop entertaining me with your crap
you're cute

I realize that malicious code can be injected into a dll, but in this case there really isn't. A few days ago I actually had the source, and I meticulously looked through the source for anything malicious, of which there was none. When I compiled it the hashes of the original dll and the new one matched exactly. There is no virus.
Of course I know that. I compiled the custom version OP has :)

how the forget did we get to attacking yola from talking about an injection?

we got back on topic

IT.
IS.
NOT.
A.
loving.
VIRUS.

How often do we need to tell you handicaps this?

It can possibly be a backdoor Trojan, but I have few doubts it would. Otherwise the developer of the hacker is trolling other people into downloading it and showing a lesson now to hack games.

no surprise here

I am going to IRC those names shown in the image and ask them what they saw, and if they say they did see you flying, okay, but if they didn't, you are lying.

or maybe

they just didn't see it.

so....

If this was not publicly distributed, would you all not complain?

It's a hack, it's worth fighting against either way?

Why is everyone going on about that they don't see any malicious in the source then it isn't a virus. Guys what if this is Crypted with a FUD crypter? Also the exe. He could've binded the Injector with a RAT/Any other Virus and crypted it. Which makes it undetectable.

To be honest he does have a valid point. I mean, even if a virus scan shows no conclusive results a piece of malware could still easily be hidden inside the DLL or injector binary. This can be done through a number of techniques and doesn't really require that much skill. I'm not trying to bullstuff anyone.

I do not encourage the use of any software which "malignantly" alters the default intended functionality provided by the game though I feel as if I should clear something up. Computermix and I do enjoy the puzzle and thrill of programming the kind of things that have been showcased in this thread. It is not an attempt to "bring down Blockland" or any other ridiculous claim. We do it because it's there. In fact I think that it shows some sort of respect to the game considering that a good amount of time was spent. At the same time everyone likes their work to be appreciated and that is why the hack in question was distributed. To bind crypted malware would go against our sense of pride brought on by people taking the time to use our creation. Personally I do not believe that what we gave out is of any actual harm. Admins can ban blatant users and Drama topics can be posted to possibly bring on a key revoke -- I'm not disillusioned, it is a hack after all.

I have told Badspot and a few other people that I wanted to "leave Blockland" and I still feel like it would be the right choice. As such this is not a goodbye post but one denoting that this current account will be used, albeit not very frequently, to explain some of the happenings in question from a different point of view. I don't think like certain people are correctly represented in the opinionated hivemind.

Lastly the debate of what is, and what isn't, a hack is just annoying. To people who actually do... certain things... the term has gotten so convoluted that it basically has no meaning. You can argue over semantics or you can use a term which correctly expresses a concept. It really doesn't make you look cool to pretend like you know something which at this point in time just isn't very well defined. I call it a hack because its easy to type and understand.

This is my only key -- all my other ones were effectively revoked. I don't really plan on playing the game that much.
