Launcher downloads all default files every time

This has been going on for a few days now. Every time I start Blockland with the shortcut the launcher downloads all default files.

Can you elaborate? As far as I know, the launcher is supposed to download all default files and replace the ones which it can write to.

It first downloads a list of file names and corresponding hashes, then checks the files and if the hashes don't match downloads the files from the server

Only if those files have changed. It's not supposed to download all default files every single time I start the game. It's only supposed to do that when there's an update, or a default file is missing/changed.

Your msvcr71.dll file appears to be read-only. Is that the case for other files? Also, do you have permissions to write to the S: drive?

It is not read-only and of course I have the permission to write on the S drive.

No clue what could cause this? It's been doing this for about a week now but it didn't do it ~2-3 weeks ago.

Perhaps deleting msvcr71.dll and then allowing that to be rewritten would fix it. Maybe it is corrupted or something.
