Oh forget, didn't mean to post this yet
It's not released yet, it will be later today.

If it doesn't get fail-binned first, Baddy is not a fan of static shapes.

Buildable vehicles and neither elevator mods are failbinned.

Those are made to function specially ways bricks can't.

Purely aesthetic use where bricks are perfectly viable in general seems to lead to failbinning.

god static shapes just no

Static shapes are actually slower than bricks iirc.

I have a much, much, much lower framerate standing in the bedroom save compared to anything Marble has done with this.

256000 bricks are faster 256000 static shapes. But about 100 or so static shapes to remake the slopes is WAY faster used to make it out of bricks.

Bricks are just too inefficient for large scale, vehicle based, terrain.

I didn't make any statements about how well StaticShapes function. Did you mean to quote Ipquarx?

Even if you think using static shapes will lag you to death, there are more things you can do with maps. For example, you can, if you wish, do a server-wide 2d audio emitter for ambience.

lol what

you made two points in the same sentence and then the sentence explaining the latter point was unrelated to the first one

I know this, I was just stating that in their purest form, static shapes are slower than bricks, so they should be used sparingly.

you said something about static shapes and then made a statement about the usefulness of maps

then you explained how maps are useful because they can have 2d ambient sounds (i'm pretty sure this is something that isn't special just to maps, because if it was, then the functionality would be gone, and if it isn't, then it's completely irrelevant in the context since you can create one of these objects in script)

i don't???????
