Author Topic: Do you think we are ever gonna colonize other planets / solar systems?  (Read 2056 times)

so what you think about that? i kind of think that we are probably not going to leave our solar system, maybe colonize mars and maybe like titan or something like that but not much further

There is already NASA training programs for colonizing mars. Iirc it's happening in 2020?

I think it'll happen eventually. Just not in our lifetimes.

Most likely not in our lifetime.

im sure we will find some bizarre methods to conquering those solar systems at some point

probably not in our lifetime.

If the human race is going to survive then yeah
Either that or there will be like these ships that we send out in random directions that have their own internal sustainable ecosystem (solar power of some sort) and people would be living in there until they get to something habitable.
Pretty sure that will happen eventually but not before we colonize all of the solid planets beyond our own
When the sun goes kablooey we can't be on Earth, the last estimate I heard said that there was a chance that half of the Earth would be burned up entirely and otherwise it would be completely incinerated

When the sun goes kablooey we can't be on Earth,
6 billion years from now
im almost completely sure that by that time the human race will not exist

haha us 1??&$™©'s already colonized pluto prepare for the invasion in 2.6 million earth years you worthless humans

6 billion years from now
im almost completely sure that by that time the human race will not exist
Why?

who knows, humans may prevent the end of the universe.

We will need  make sure we have enough water. The first task is to ensure we have enough water for the trip from Earth to Mars. The second task is to search for water on mars and ship water their until they can self sustain. Those first few years they will have to live of recycled water and melting the Martian ice caps.

6 billion years from now
im almost completely sure that by that time the human race will not exist
If we are still around at that time i guarantee we'll be on some other planet in some other solar system, if not some other galaxy.

I think it'll happen eventually. Just not in our lifetimes.

Did you not read of Smithers said?
Its going to happen.

Yes, its going to happen, once they finish their long training course they are going on a one way trip to mars.

Unless we screw ourselves over, I think we should be seeing some people on mars in about 70 years. We'd probably not be able to go ourselves (i'd be 90something) but it would be cool to see it though.
