Author Topic: A Question about Lighting.  (Read 2911 times)

I can't figure out where to make it dark, I've searched the entire forum looking to see if someone else posted about it but no one has. So how can I make my map Dark? I've checked in the inspector and looked under Sun but I didn't want to mess anything up. Can one of you tell me what I do to make my map Dark? Thanks.

EDIT: I found out how to make the minifigs dark, just not the Sky or Terrain.

Theres a few things that need to be done.

Fog should be made dark  (reduce the color values to 0.00 0.00 0.00)

Sun should be changed     (Same thing, change color values)

Skybox     Change the skybox direction under the media tab.

Or edit a Dark map?
I've tried that and got horrible results >< Thanks for that suggestion though.

The trick I use is:

- Go in map, open F11 (if you have it),
- Open the SimObjects menu and click Sky,
- Press F3 and open the fog section,
- Make the fog really dark, and color it about the color of the horizon of the sky, but a bit more black,
- Make the fog distance around -200 (you must put a - or else it doesn't look right),
- Hit apply. Open the Sun tab under SimObjects,
- Change the hue and saturation to something dark, like 0.1 0.1 0.2 and 0.2 0.2 0.3 (the last number should be 1 higher or else it will look ugly)
- Hit apply.
- ???
- Profit.

OK I just need to know a good sky to use

OK I just need to know a good sky to use

Don't use stars for a night map.

Found one, Locking.
