We stop the car and let him open the door. "Okay okay!" I say.

"Suckers." I whisper to myself before sprinting off.

Cherenkov peeked around the corner, and furrowed his brow.  Before him was an old man crouched in front of a dumpster, whistling, and wiping a crimson red liquid from the ground.  Blood.  He turned the corner, and lifted his weapon slightly , although not aiming it.  "You, what are you doing?" he asked.

"Hey!" I yell at him as he runs off. I sighed. I closed the door and continued to drive back to the city and sped up every now and then.

"Cleaning up the blood of a man I just killed." I say casually. "What're you doing?"

"What the forget...  why the hell did you kill him?"  Cherenkov says, lifting the barrel of his weapon to aim for the man's kneecap.

"'Cause you wouldn't have a way into sector 6 if I hadn't."

Cherenkov furrowed his brow yet again, lowering the pistol slightly.  "Stop being so damn vague and tell me what happened."

I ended up hitting the asphalt road in the completely abandoned city and sped up again, Zone 6 becoming visible. I reached for the radio. "We're coming back in, repairman, get ready to seal up the fence."

why wouldn't you go through the checkpoint

silly

why wouldn't you go through the checkpoint

silly
because

i like speeding through abandoned cities.

plus, he said he'd seal it up after we came back so it would be the fast way to make sure nobody gets through the fence

because i don't know he's dead

Hearing the radio echo through the dumpster I quicky stand up, "You best run along and do whatever you're gonna do. I'm going home."

Cherenkov groaned, stuffing the pistol into his pants after putting the safety back on.  He then walked passed the old man and into the streets.

I quickly say Thanks to the old man, and follow the commander.
