Author Topic: Good plane music  (Read 2027 times)

I'm going to Illinois in about a week to visit relatives and this is my first time riding a plane. I also have to get there at 5am. It will take 4 hours to get there.

So I will be needing some relaxing/good music for the ride.

Any suggestions?

Yes. OP, if you're looking specifically for relaxing music, Brian Eno is the way to go.

- Discreet Music is an exceptional album. Three arrangements of an already great classical piece (Canon in D by Pachelbel), then the title track--a half hour long song that I can only describe as sounding like whale songs from other planets. Very peaceful, a serene album.

- Apollo is spacey and wonderful. There are some uplifting songs, some dark ones, and some downright scary ones (see: Matta, The Secret Place). Definitely worth a listen.

I might just do that while singing it as well.

The Grim Fandango Soundtrack.

I was stuck on a 10 hour flight with a broken tv ;_;

Just sleep
Why would I sleep? Some dude could blow up the plane and I will never know what happened.
I know it's an Over-exaggeration, but it can still probably happen.
